The Eye Muscle Surgery for Children

Eye muscle surgery for childrenis done to adjust strabismus. Strabismus is the term used to explain any condition in which the eyes are not analogue, whether one eye bends or wanders in or out, or up or down.

Before  Eye Muscle Surgery for Children

The parents should bring a corporeal exam form that has been completed by the child’s pediatrician between 30 days prior to eye muscle surgery for children. During Surgery

After Surgery

At this time, the doctor will give post surgery directions including the usage of eye lotions and creams to assist with curing and forbid contagion. The doctor may also give special instructions about follow-up care. The child will arouse in the recuperation room. A nurse will ask the parents as soon as the child rouses.
The child’s eyes will be red after eye lift surgery. This inflammation persists for many weeks as the eye cures. He or she may have blood- tinted tears for the first day after operation. There may be few swelling of the lids. The child may also feel double vision for many days after operation.
