The surgery will take place in the operative room. Children who are above one year of age can have one parent in the operative room with them as they fall fast asleep. The child will be at rest for the entire surgery and will not experience any ail or any other aesthesis.
After the child is fast asleep an IV will be placed to give liquids and medicines. To keep the lids open a small metal clip is used. During the time of operation no scratches are made in the skin and the eye is not dispatched. A small opening is done on the clear tissue layer covering up the white part of the eye. The doctor will function on the muscles that control the movement of the eye. When the doctor is completed, they will cover the muscles with clean membrane. There are no sews to dispatch because they will fade out on their own.
