A Married Couple Becomes Distressed About Their Hazardous and Irresponsible Drinking and Speculates Whether They Manifest Any Alcoholism Signs

Jerry and Sarah have been married for four years. They wanted to experience some excitement and fun before they decided to have some kids and so they consciously developed an extremely dynamic social life.

The major problem, it needs to be highlighted, is that very nearly everything they do with their family and friends somehow includes drinking. As an illustration, all of the parties with friends, dinner engagements, happy hours, sporting events, and family get-togethers they frequent include drinking.

Sarah and Jerry Start to See Some Noticeable Alcohol Related Problems That are Centered On Their Excessive Drinking

If they were infrequent drinkers, this wouldn’t be a big issue. Since they drink in an irresponsible manner, nonetheless, they are beginning to become aware of some clearly identifiable alcohol-related problems in their lives.

For instance, just a few days ago Jerry was apprehended by the police for a second DWI and has been overlooking responsibilities at work due to alcohol-related health issues. Furthermore, Jerry’s last two or three performance appraisals at the office have been less than passable and he has started to fail to remember what he does or says the times that he drinks. Finally, Jerry has been experiencing sleep-related problems and his family has begun to exhibit apprehension about his drinking circumstances.

In a similar way, Sarah has been feeling unhappy with life in general and to come to grips with these feelings, she has been drinking more intensely than any time in the past nine months. Moreover, Sarah has been experiencing more than a few painful migraines and going through very bad hangovers from drinking. As a final point, Sarah has been feeling much less active in the morning, she has been getting to work late at least once per week, and she has been receiving some well-deserved criticism from her friends, relatives, family members, and coworkers about her excessive drinking.

Watching the Television and Accidently Finding A Remarkable Documentary About the Signs of Alcohol Dependency

One Monday evening while watching TV, Jerry and Sarah went through the channels and found an exciting documentary about the signs of alcoholism.

This television documentary was a real surprise to Jerry and Sarah because quite a few of the alcoholism signs that were emphasized seemed like they were indisputably related to numerous alcohol-related drinking problems Sarah and Jerry had been suffering through.

An Open Talk About Drinking Activities Exposes Alcohol Related Financial, Employment, Legal, Relationship, and Health Problems

After watching the television special, Jerry and Sarah made up their minds to have a frank conversation about their drinking activities. They both agreed that most, if not all, of their social activities had something to do with drinking, that they were drinking in an irresponsible manner, and that as a married couple, they were beginning to make note of alcohol related health, legal, relationship, employment, and financial problems for the first time in their lives.

With thoughts of the television documentary still fresh in her mind, Sarah asked Jerry if some of the alcoholism signs they have been exhibiting could be a signal that they are alcohol dependent or conceivably becoming addicted to alcohol. Jerry didn’t know the answer to Sarah’s inquiry and so he recommended that they schedule an appointment with one of the physicians at the local drug and alcohol rehab center to find out more about the seriousness of their drinking circumstances.

Dealing With Your Drinking Problems May Decrease Your Fear and Give You Some Quietude

Ironically, although their drinking behavior hadn’t yet changed, it was noticeable that Sarah and Jerry were at the very least dealing with their drinking difficulties, they were willing to find out more about their drinking behavior, and they were concerned about how they could notably cut down the severity or do away with the drinking-related problems that had begun to get worse.

When Sarah and Jerry went to bed that night, they arrived at a decision that the next day, Jerry would call and make an appointment for both of them at the drug and alcohol abuse rehabilitation clinic located just North of the State Capital. After they made a promise to one another that they would do whatever it takes to overcome the alcohol-related problems that had materialized in their lives, they truly had the most refreshing night’s sleep they could remember in the last three months.

Just before he fell asleep, Jerry turned to Sarah and noted how effortless it is to reduce one’s nervousness and truly experience a degree of peacefulness by tackling one’s problems head-on and choosing to do something positive about them.
