Looking for Emergency Dental Services?

Unless you have Insurance at the time of the emergency, it is usually not an option. Today many Dentists accept discount dental cards and are even open for dental emergency patients. With a Discount Plan you can see the Dentist the same or next day, if there is an on-going condition.

How Dental Insurance works:

Discount Plans has been around for a long time, but many consumers do not understand the difference between discounted plans and insurance. Dental Insurance costs can range from $50 to $150 per month depending on the services provided. Once the dental procedures are completed the dental office usually bills the dental insurance company for payment. Many dental insurance programs have deductibles of $100 or more. Once the deductible is met, the company will typically pay out between 50-80% of the bill, and that will vary depending on the type of dental procedure.

With insurance there are usually exemptions, where certain types of costly procedures are no covered, such as braces or cosmetic procedures. With certain costly dental treaments you may have to wait before having those treatments performed. Dental Insurance is limited by annual caps on dental services you can receive. These limits, exclusions and caps on the service are essential to the policy, otherwise insuring provider could be liable for more money that they take in and eventually go out of business.

A Better Option:

One of the options to consumers is the Discount Plan. Certain companies are now jumping on board the dental discount wagon by offer these types of plans too. They are less costly to consumers as they pay a lower monthly premium. Discounted Dental Plans have a network of private paractice Dentists who are willing to provide a discount to plan members.

What’s in it for a Dentist to give a discount for their services? The Dentist is able to provide discounts, in return for prompt payment at the time of service. At the Dental Office the discount dental plan member typically pays on the spot unless other arrangements are mad ahead of time. There is no paperwork. The advertising costs for the dental office are eliminated with because of the dental referral services provided by the dental plan company.

In most areas of the US, discount plan members can receive up to 80% on dental services. The exact amount depends on the treatment. Bottom line with these plans, the Dentist and member both win.

Options for Emergency Dental Care Service:

1. Investigate Dental Discount Card with no waiting period.
2. FInd a Dentist in your area able to accomadate dental emergencies.
3. Dental emergencies can usually be treted on Saturday if the dental office is open.
