Research statistics shows that about 1 in every 6 adults in the U.S. is known to suffer from some form of arthritis , and the pain and discomfort that goes along with it. Arthritis sufferers are starting to reach record numbers as the babyboomers head into their senior years. Children make up a smaller portion of those afflicted by arthritic conditions .

Arthritic Pain

Sometimes arthritis is a a little underhanded as it does not hit you all at once, but comes on slow with just hints of joint inflammation and pain popping up at one time or another . Then before you identify the extent of its hold on you, the tender joints, and stabbing pain becomes more than you can tolerate without seeking treatment . Not all arthritic pain is the alike .

Arthritic pain can be jagged , or a throbbing pain ,but at times it can be undetectable. However, many arthritis suffers know when a flare up is occurring as the pain can be agonizing

Causes Of Arthritis

For the most part, the root cause of various types of arthritis are mysterious in nature. Being overweight, repetitive injuries, the over use of joints can contribute to arthritis,as can the buildup of uric-acid crystals in the joints as seen in cases of gout.

Arthritis Is Difficult To Treat

For all its notoriety this painful arthritic condition is still surrounded by an abundance of misinformation, myths, and skewed facts.

Most people suffering from arthritis will tell you that learning to live with all the pain and discomfort that arthritis brings can be easier said than done. and treatment plans can involve taking medications, diet changes, exercise, but unfortunately when it comes to treatment care plans one size does not fit all.

There are over 100 different types of arthritic conditions, so treatment plans will vary for each individual.

It is essential to talk to your doctor when you first have joint pain and inflammation. Many types of arthritis will require very specific treatment plans, so it is important to see your physician, or be referred to a Rheumatologist to lay out a plan to treat your arthritis pain.

Arthritis Treatment Options

Let’s take a look at some other options for helping with pain that you might find helpful too.

How To Treat Your Arthritis

Physical Exercise :
Exercise is vital to keeping your joints healthy. “Keep moving and you will stay mobile” is my motto. Keeping your weight in check is the first plan of action when you suffer from arthritis. You can do this with exercise, and exercises also provides strengthening to muscles and ligaments that surround joints, provide lubrication, and transports important nutrients while removing waste products to and from the cushioning cartilage between the bones.

Believe me I know personally how difficult it can be to even think about exercising when you are in so much pain, but studies prove that it is vital to your health.
Sometimes when you suffer with arthritis it can really limit your joint mobility at times, and this can make exercising and lifting even light weight dumbbells very difficult. However, I have found through my own research on the right exercises for arthritis what I consider one of the pieces of the best exercise equipment for maintaining joint health, and muscle strong. I personally use these on a daily basis, and get great results they are inexpensive, light weight, very effective, and are called resistance bands.

Resistance Workout Bands Are Also Known as;Tube Bands

These extremely easy to use, and light weight resistance bands are really amazing as they can provide you will most of the necessary exercises needed to maintain your joint health, and strength training: You can perform Range-of-motion Exercises, and Strengthening Exercises (no heavy dumbbells needed).

Diet :
A diet for arthritis can be tricky as there are different dietary needs for different types of arthritis.  Eating healthy fresh fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water, low calorie juices, stay away from alcohol, and foods with a lot of preservatives. When drinking water makes sure that you filter it, as your city water supply is full of chorine and many people find that this can exacerbate arthritis pain.

Magnetic Therapy Products

OK, go ahead and think I am a loon, but I’m telling you medical magnets work. I have been using them for years, and they have almost cured my migraines, and help relieve the inflammation in my joints. My knee used to swell up on a weekly basis, and would be so painful I would just sit in a chair all day with the heating pad watching TV. Now using the magnetic knee wrap, and magnetic bracelets it is the difference between night and day.  Let me tell you I am a huge skeptic, and I did bunch of research before shelling out for any “Quack Bracelet” as my hubby called them. Well, he’s quacking now, and had to eat crow when I bought him one for his birthday, and he was really surprised at the level of pain relief. He has been out golfing almost every day feeling virually pain free.

I am an arthritis sufferer too, and I am comforted by the fact that I am not alone, but it does not make the pain hurt any less. You are not alone either.  You should not stop living when you suffer from arthritis.
